AIGAC Annual Conference
June 18th - 19th 2008

The first Annual AIGAC Conference will take place at the Gleacher Center in downtown Chicago on June 18th and 19th, 2008. The AIGAC Events Committee has prepared a two-day conference that is packed with opportunities to network, build upon your admissions consulting knowledge and interact with admissions professionals. Here is a listing of some of the events currently planned for the conference:

  • Private Tour of the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business, led by Dean of Admissions Rosemaria Martinelli
  • Panel Session: Best Practices for Counseling, Coaching and Coaxing Graduate School Applicants
  • Panel Session: Admissions Staff Roundtable - featuring Mae Shores (UCLA), Christie St-John (Tuck), Peter Johnson (Haas), Sherry Wallace (UNC)
  • Panel Session: Technology/CRM - How can admissions consulting firms make use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and other technologies to best serve their clients?
  • Private Dinner Party
  • Campus Visit: Northwestern University
  • Joint Cocktail with GMAC (Graduate Management Admissions Council) - Mingle with Admissions Directors from Leading MBA Programs

The site of the AIGAC Annual Conference is Chicago's Gleacher Center, home of the University of Chicago's part-time MBA program. The Gleacher Center is located in the heart of downtown Chicago, just blocks away from the Loop and steps away from the Magnificient Mile shopping, restaurants and hotels.

Travel Planning Note: For those of you planning your flights and/or hotel, the conference will start at 8:30 AM on Wednesday, June 18th. Conference attendees should plan to be in Chicago until the event wraps up at 5 PM on Thursday, June 19th. AIGAC will be furnishing all attendees with a comprehensive listing of lodging options.
